Our Strength

Our radiology turnarounds are approximately 1 business day (<24 hrs) from receipt of completed case materials. We treat your consultation as a stat. Our non-radiology expert physicians generally provide turnarounds of no more than 1 to 2 weeks. Our goal is both accuracy and speed by providing high quality and fast turnaround, a combination that results in account growth and satisfied clients.

If there is one truth in medicolegal cases, have you wondered how it can be that medicolegal cases have a medical expert on each side. Is one expert further from the truth than another? If there are diverging opinions in medicolegal cases, then it follows that there may be varying opinions in active clinical practice. The best way to find the truth is through consensus. Because of financial, medicolegal issues, and other considerations, consensus approaches are generally not tried with second opinions...until now. At Consensus Medicine, we have figured out the logistics such that two highly qualified medical experts will review your case for the price of one, a BOGO, a buy one get one special for each of our clients. Furthermore, the result of the consultation is only certified by us and released to you if BOTH experts agree on the substance of the opinion. If there is any central disagreement, then you pay nothing.

The old adage about ``strength in numbers`` is often true, except when the masses are wrong. The general public shunned Copernicus in his original idea that the Earth revolved around the sun, rather than the other way around. However, with consultation by experts, the system is improved to support the truth. We would all likely agree that an opinion by an Einstein is more credible than an opinion by the masses. That being said, there is only one thing better than that, a concordant opinion by two Einsteins who independently and without collaboration arrive at the same opinion. This consensus model is the basis of Consensus Medicine.

A logistical note that all consultations are expressly without any doctor-patient relationships. These are not patient consultations referred by your doctor. Rather, the consultations are forensic in nature. As with any second opinions, the consultation is retrospective. There is an inherent time delay such that management decisions should not be based on our conclusions. Should you or your physician choose to use our opinions for managment, that is your prerogative and responsibility. However, our consultation is only examining a specific consultation question or specific complaint, which is different from evaluating a patient in active practice. Therefore, our consultation is not meant to replace the relationship that a client has as a patient with their own doctor. The above forensic nature of our evaluation will be on a consent form signed by all clients and listed at the end of each report.
